THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY: The film follows Ted Stroehmann (Ben Stiller), an awkward man who, thirteen years after a disastrously embarrassing high school prom date, is still obsessed with his high school sweetheart, Mary Jensen (Cameron Diaz). Ted hires a sleazy private investigator named Pat Healy (Matt Dillon) to track her down in Miami, Florida. Upon finding her, Healy falls in love with her himself and lies to Ted about her life to keep them apart.
