Beginners Silversmith Workshops are coming to Childers!

Kaz from BirdSong Silver will be there on Saturday 7th June.

With 20 years of experience, Kaz is an enthusiastic tutor who loves to share these old-time skills.

This class is aimed at beginners, as we have to learn the basics first (after that anything is possible!)

We will make 2 pieces of sterling silver jewellery, being a solid bangle and a ring, hand crafted by you! All equipment supplied, just bring your creativity!

We will cover all aspects of silversmithing, including soldering, forming, filing, sawing, texturing and stamping.

The workshops will be held at in Childers in the new ‘STUDIO’ space in The Paragon Theatre from 9am – approx 4pm.

Please byo lunch and plenty of water. The Paragon Espresso Bar is also open 7:30am-12:30pm daily for drinks and food purchases.

There are only 5 places available in each workshop to ensure plenty of individual attention.

The total cost of the workshop is $320 this includes all materials and tuition. (Please read the T&Cs)

Please wear CLOSED IN SHOES, comfy clothes but no flowing sleeves.

If you would like to make one or both of the pieces for someone else please bring a piece to size it by or an accurate measurement and finally, if you do wear reading glasses don’t forget to bring those too as there’s some close-up work to be done!
